Ⅰ.Brief introduction of China Cross-Straits Technology & Projects Fair
China Cross-Straits Technology & Projects Fair （abbreviated as TPF）is held on June.18th to the 20th every year in Fuzhou, the coastal city of southeastern China. The theme of the fair is communication and cooperation of  Project- Technology- Capital- Talent. The fair is aimed at providing a platform for direct communication of enterprises and investment institutions with colleges, universities, scientific research institutions and individual experts owning technological innovations so as to reach mutual interaction and promote the matchmaking and commercialization of technological innovations. At the fair, enterprises and investors will be able to find appropriate and profitable investment projects, business partners and channels of technological services. Meanwhile, colleges, universities, scientific research institutions and individual experts will be able to find their way to commercialize their technological innovations. TPF is an ideal platform for exchanging information of industrial and technological development, seeking business opportunities,  realizing mutual benefit and double win, and commercializing technological innovations between colleges, universities, scientific research institutions, enterprises, individual investors and financial institutions.

The year 2003 saw the first TPF which is held on yearly basis. Up to now, altogether 6 TPF have been successfully held in 6 successive years. With the People’s Government of Fujian Province as its executive sponsor, the 6th TPF of 2008 was highlighted by 10 state-level ministries and administrations such as State Administration of Foreign Experts of PRC, Ministry of Sciences and Technology of China and the Chinese Academy of Sciences etc. joining the fair as its new sponsors. The convocation of the 6th TPF has made remarkable achievements by successful matchmaking of 4685 technological innovations with a total investment of over RMB80 billion yuan. Among them, commercialization contracts were signed for 2939 technological innovations with a total investment of over RMB55 billion yuan. The 6th TPF of 2008 brought together 130,000 exhibitors and visitors from around the world. Among them, more than 1000 scientists, experts and entrepreneurs from 56 countries and regions were present at the fair.

The 7th TPF is scheduled to be held on June 18th -20th 2009 in Fuzhou China. At present, all the preparation work of the fair is going in full swing. In accordance with The National Medium- and Long-term Development Plan of Science and Technology as well as The 11th Five-year Plan of National Economy and Social Development of Fujian Province, the 7th TPF is aimed at promoting development of industries in Fujian, strengthening ability of autonomous innovation, building up the economized society and recyclable economy, building new countryside and a strong province of developed maritime industry. The fair is expected to feature further internationalization, expanded cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, and emphasis on bid for solving enterprises’ technological demands. The 7th TPF warmly and sincerely welcome the participation of those overseas institutions and experts who are able to meet  enterprises’ technological demands or own technological innovations that are expected to fall within the guideline of industrial development of Fujian, contain high content of technology, have strong driving power, and promote distinct development of Fujian economy. The organizing committee of the fair is committed to offer fine service to participants and visitors and help them discuss business opportunities and thereby achieve mutual benefits as well as win-win results through the platform of the fair.

3、Technological demands of enterprises presented by the Organizing Committee of TPF
TPF is collecting technological demands from enterprises in Fujian. Meanwhile it is seeking to overseas colleges, universities, scientific research institutions, social bodies and experts for offering technological services and solving technological difficulties put up by enterprises. All the collected technological demands from enterprises have been posted on the website of the fair: http://www.1.cn/techno.asp. Those who are intended to solve technological difficulties can log onto the website for more details.

4、Participating procedures
(1)Please fill in the annexed “The Form of Technological Innovation Collected for China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair”（each technological innovation to be contained in one form）or “The Form of Matchmaking with Enterprise’s Technological Demand for China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair”, and send it by E-mail to us: 87833950@163.com or fjaiep@hotmail.com，or by fax : +86-591-87833900 on/before April 10,2009. If there are technological innovation samples or products available, please send to us the photos(each photo around 5-million-pixel size)of these samples or products together with the Form. To download the above two forms, please log into our website http://fujian.caiep.org/events_en/.
(2)On receipt of the information of the technological innovations or solutions of enterprises’ technological demands, we shall set to introduce and demonstrate them to enterprises and investment institutions in Fujian province well before the opening of the fair or during the session, so as to promote and realize the matchmaking between investors and technological innovations owners. We shall keep technological innovations owners informed of any development in matchmaking programs.

5、Services provided by the Organizing Committee of the 6th TPF as follows:
(1)We provide exhibition booths and posters free of charge for those technological innovations we select.
(2)We provide free international round-way traveling expenses and free meals, accommodation and transportation during the session of the fair(i.e. 17-20 June) to those overseas experts selected and invited to attend the fair by us.
(3)We provide free service of information publication through our channels for technological innovations collected from overseas institutions and individual experts.
(4)We assist in introducing and demonstrating to enterprises and investment institutions in Fujian province the technological innovations collected from oversea institutions and individual experts. We assist in inviting Chinese enterprises and investment institutions to participate in business talks on cooperation at the fair.
(5)We assist in arranging business investigations and provide related business contacts services.
